Let the Wind Answer You

I do not cry, for I am rich
In thoughts that come, word after word.
Why do the flowers choose to fade?
Let the wind answer your unheard.

Let the wind answer you,
Let the wind whisper true,
All the questions of the soul —
Let the wind answer you.

I do not cry, life feels intense,
It’s only autumn in my mind.
Why do the golden leaves turn gold?
Let the wind answer what you find.

I do not cry, though breath runs short,
And bitterness still has its voice.
Why does our youth begin to fade?
Let the wind answer to your choice.

Let the wind answer you,
Let the wind whisper true,
All the questions of the soul —
Let the wind answer you.

I do not cry, life rushes on,
Day after day and night by night.
Why is death also part of life?
Let the wind answer in its flight.

I do not cry, these thoughts remain,
They march like ants inside my head.
Why are there sorrow, pain and tears?
Let the wind answer what is said.

I do not cry, it’s silent now,
An empty room inside my soul.
Why does the wind know all so well?
Let the wind answer on its own.
